Neil Kaufman

Neil Kaufman is an author writing everything from poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and indeterminate pieces. He started to write as a 5-year-old in kindergarten and it wasn’t long until he had risen to writing the family newsletters.

Recently, Neil won 3rd place in Grand Rapids Community College’s 2006 Poetry Contest, adjudicated by former Grand Rapids Poet Laureate Linda Nemec Foster, and 2nd place in the Student Division of Dyer-Ives’ Kent County Poetry Competition in 2008, adjudicated by Guggenheim Fellow Alicia Ostriker.

Neil recently finished a large body of work entitled Δ which is currently in the production stages at Eoaura, his publishing company (http://eusir.weebly.com.)

Neil loves writing and finds it as essential as pizza, unusual happenings, films by Hayao Miyazaki, and breathing…

Neil has one untitled publication pending in a book called The Neuropsychiatry of Poetry to be released by Richard M. Patel, M.D.
