Emily Peiffer received her Bachelor of Arts from Aquinas College in the spring of 2009. She majored in English and double minored in communications and writing. Her work has appeared in Sampler XIX, Sampler XX, and Sampler XXI. Her poem “Telephone Pole” won the Academy of American Poets Prize for Colleges and Universities contest for Aquinas College in 2009. Her poem “The First Storm” was a finalist for the same prize in 2008.
