A Drive Through the Country, Farewell

I am so young to my surroundings,

as a current rainfall paints the pavement,

and sunflowers rise and sweep the sky.

I have been brought to the surface,
w
here I wake from my oblivious sleep,
not remembering the date, or people around me.

what you feel when you see.

I'm flying beyond treetops,

the wind attempting to wrestle me down,

through mountains and fog,
over foaming oceans, the
waves of my sorrow drowning my loved ones.

Clouds greeted me today.

I had wandered vast dry roads,
soil once eroding beneath my feet

Now orchids unfurl;

sun plays a smile upon my lips.

It’s summer,
I’m awake,

locked away, where have I been?

Watching earth on fast forward.

Time to rewind.
Let's fly.
