The light flashes red, the evil devil eyes.
The never-ending red watches you
as you tear in agony, waiting--
the ruby light never letting you out of its sight,
watching your every move, waiting for you to think,
and the light, even though you don't recognize it,
knows all your secrets and memories
from when you were a baby, sitting, crying
just to get the attention.
You're waiting for the light to turn at least yellow,
So you can finally look away from those eyes
and take a breath.
When it finally turns green, those soft, olive eyes
turn and let you pass. Your fears are once again
lifted away. As the light stares back at you and while
you’re driving off, you look back. Your eyes meet
and you almost wish that the green light could follow you,
and you could stare forever into the hypnotizing green.
The soothing light that draws you near and comforts you
watches over you, and it makes you feel like you’re at home.
