Imagine magazine is sponsoring a poetry contest, and if you meet the requirements concerning age, you should dash off a poem by email at their website, which is listed here: http://www.cty.jhu.edu/imagine/creativemindscontest/ContestGuidelines.ht.... The information below right from the site itself, though you need to go to the site in order to email your poems.
Creative Minds Poetry Contest Submission Guidelines:
Contest open to students age 18 and under. This year, we will award prizes in two age categories: ages 14 and younger, and ages 15-18.
You may submit up to three poems of up to 30 lines each. Poems exceeding 30 lines will be disqualified without being read.
There is no theme for this contest. Both formal poems and free-verse poems will be accepted.
Submit entries online. Save each poem as a separate Word document containing only the poem and the poem's title. Do not include any identifying information (i.e. name, address, email, etc.) in the attached document. Then, submit your work online here.
You will need to complete the entire submission process for each poem you send.
Poems must be submitted no later than 5:00 pm EST on July 17, 2009.
All entries must be original work. Previously published poems are not eligible.

The first-place entry in each category will be published in Imagine magazine. Second- and third-place winners may be considered for publication, either in print or online. All winners will receive Imagine gear and five copies of the issue in which their poem appears. Winners will be announced in the September/October 2009 issue and online after the issue has mailed.
