The Golden Temple

As I was in Kyoto, Japan,
around the golden temple
with small mounds of animals
made up of sand,
I saw the lake
glimmer like a fish shining.
The little trees surrounded
the lake.
As I trotted up the
shiny pearl stone
steps, a lady offered
us green cold tea as
we sat on rectangular,
red tables. Then
in the glimmering sun
we drank our bitter tea
with tiny sweets the
size of paper clips.
The golden-sun dazzle
stood out of the trees.
