The Easel and Multi-colored Plate of Magic

They beckoned her to the petite corner.

She told herself to be quick, and stepped

into the corners embrace.

Rapidly cleaned her paintbrushes and squeezing

the paint onto the palette,

she finished her routine.

Her mind alive with ideas and her heart set

on a certain color, she started.

One after another the brushstrokes came,

working their magic.

She unconsciously changed colors,

her mind vibrating to finish her painting.

Visions kept her going.

Inspired she almost knocked her dirty-brown

cup of water to the ground,

but she wouldn’t have noticed.

Suddenly, she stopped and the swirling

world came to a standstill.
