The Sea

It's dark churning
water curls beneath
my feet. The seaweed
wraps around my
feet like a lasso.
As I dive for the
depths, I am consumed
by wonder in this
strange new world.
The points of rock
and shell scratch
my feet and hands.
As I rise to breathe,
I am slammed
by a wave. As I am
swallowed under
once again, a light
shines and I become
the sea.
